9. Advertising and Cookies

9.1 Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Note: For users under 13 with verified parental consent, we disable personalized advertising and show only contextual, non-targeted ads.

9.2 Cookies We Use

Our website uses the following types of cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and basic site functionality
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how visitors use our site
  • Advertising Cookies: Used by Google AdSense to display relevant ads

9.3 Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our website. For more information about how Google uses data from partner sites, visit Google's Privacy & Terms.

10. Third-Party Services

Our service integrates with or uses the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth: For user authentication
  • Google AdSense: For displaying advertisements
  • OpenAI: For AI-generated test content
  • Netlify: For hosting and infrastructure
  • Turso: For database services

These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

11. PDF-Inspired Test Generation

11.1 What We Access

Our "Generate Test Inspired by Past Exams" feature allows users to create original practice tests based on exam structures. When you use this feature:

  • We provide links to third-party websites where exams are publicly hosted
  • We do NOT host, store, or cache any PDF files
  • We do NOT access, read, or process actual exam questions
  • We only analyze meta-information: topic distribution percentages, question type ratios, and difficulty indicators

11.2 What We Do NOT Collect

We do NOT collect, store, or process any copyrighted exam content. Our system is designed to extract only non-copyrightable structural information (such as "30% multiple choice on Topic A") and generate entirely original questions based on that structure.

11.3 Third-Party Links

Links to exam sources navigate directly to third-party websites. When you click these links, you are subject to the privacy policies of those external sites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or practices of third-party websites.

11.4 Generation Logs

When you generate a test inspired by a past exam, we log only:

  • The selected exam source ID (not the actual exam content)
  • Timestamp of generation
  • Topic and difficulty level selected
  • Token usage for cost tracking

These logs do not contain any copyrighted material and are retained according to our standard data retention policy.

12. Policy Updates and Re-Consent

12.1 Regular Review

We review and update this Privacy Policy at least annually, or more frequently when required by changes in law, our practices, or service features.

12.2 Notification of Changes

We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page, updating the "Last updated" date, and sending an email notification to registered users.

12.3 Re-Consent for Material Changes

For material changes that significantly affect how we collect, use, or share your personal information, we will require you to review and re-accept the updated policy before continuing to use the service. You will be prompted to agree to the new terms upon your next login.

12.4 Right to Decline

If you do not agree with updated terms, you may request deletion of your account and data. Continued use of the service after being notified of changes constitutes acceptance.
